After the exciting finale of the first season, which ended with a vicious cliff-hanger, the stakes are even higher for the heroes of the second season of Netflix's Kingdom series. As the first teaser poster for the new season of a combination of Korean historical drama and horror genre promotes - death is coming and the fight is just beginning! The poster shows Ju Ji Hoon as Prince Lee Chang, who has to deal with a horde of oncoming zombies. The poster also revealed when Kingdom returns to Netflix - March. In short, the Kingdom series is based on the Korean webcomic Burning Hell - The Land of the Gods. The comic is signed by Kim Eun-hee, a well-known and acclaimed writer for drama and script in Korea. Kim Eun-hee also adapted and co-wrote the script for the series. In addition to the really good storyline, there is a phenomenal cast, beautiful scenery and photography as well as an overall wonderful design, so it's not hard to see why our series has grown so much to our hearts. And she managed to do it all in just six episodes of the first season.
The second season is still in production, which officially began on February 2019 when the cast came together for the first time to read. The new season will have six episodes as the first one. Interestingly, it was originally intended to be a mini-series of eight episodes, but Netflix then decided to split the series into two seasons, and with that, we got more episodes.
Season Two returns Ju Ji-Hoon (Asure: The City of Madness, Antique) as Prince Lee Chang, Bae Doo-na (Sense8, Cloud Atlas) as Seo-Bi, Ryoo Seung-Ryong (Miracle in Cell No. 7 , All About My Wife) as Cho, Kim Hye-Jun (Matrimonial Chaos, Just Between Lovers) as Queen Cho, Kim Sang-Ho (Moby Dick, Doctor Stranger) as Moo-Young, Kim Sung-Kyu (The Outlaws, Tunnel ) as Young-Shin, Heo Jun-Ho (Demon Empire, Hwasango) as An Hyun and Jun Suk-Ho (Intruders, Lucid Dream) as Jo Beom-Pal. The new roles will be interpreted by Park Byung Eun and Kim Tae Hoon.
