Disney + is finally rolling out next month and we will once have a chance to watch various episodes of the Marvel Movie Universe. One of the many series announced earlier this year is She-Hulk, which will accompany Jennifer Walters, Bruce Banner's cousin in the Marvel Comics. A lawyer by day, Walters gained her powers after receiving an emergency blood transfusion on Banner immediately after the accident. Currently, there is no news as to who will play the titular role, but we are now rumored that the series will see the return of Liv Tyler, who played Betty Ross opposite Edward Norton's Hulk in The Incredible Hulk movie. According to CBR.com journalist Daniel Richtman, who recently reported the following?
"And while it's still early, I've also heard that they plan to have General Ross in [She-Hulk] and even maybe bring Liv Tyler back as Betty Ross!"
And while this is obviously not one hundred percent certain, it would be nice to see Liv Tyler back in the MCU again for the first time since 2008. As for General Ross, William Hurt has returned to playing the character several times, so it seems likely that he might appear in She-Hulk. After The Incredible Hulk, he appeared in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame during the scene of Tony Stark's funeral.
Other Marvel series on Disney + include The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Loki, WandaVision and What If…? Apart from them, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight.
Sony's Masters of the Universe has been in the making for some time now, and now there's a good chance the movie might end up on Netflix. The Hollywood Reporter reports an article claiming that Sony Pictures President Tom Rothman is considering selling the project to this streaming network instead of releasing it to theaters. At these times, THR says negotiations between Sony and Netflix are in the beginning stages, though if the deal goes through, Sony could be the first major studio to make a pact with one of the largest streaming services.
After a long wait, Sony's Masters of the Universe, starring Noah Centineo (To All the Boys Loved Before) as He-Man, has been released on March 2021. Fans of this fantasy franchise were delighted with the news that He-Man is back in theaters, though now it seems like Sony is not sure about gambling on the success of the project. If the movie is sold to Netflix, it means that Sony will certainly earn something from it. However, if Masters of the Universe turns out to be a hit, it could be Sony's head. It all comes down to quality and audacity, and unfortunately for He-Man and the company, Sony is shaken when it comes to gambling on the mass appeal of the movie.
As far as we're concerned, selling Masters of the Universe movie to Netflix sounds like a good idea to us. Finally, this streaming platform is already in the possession of the animated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, which will launch its fourth season on Netflix on November 05 this year. Better yet, Netflix is making an animated He-Man series called Masters of the Universe: Revelation with Kevin Smith as the creator. Smith's animated Prince Adam animated adventures plan to continue where the original animated series has stood, which has remained the pinnacle of pop culture for generations.
He-Man, aka Prince Adam, is the heir to the throne of Eternia. With his magical Power Sword in his hands, Prince Adam can transform himself into He-Man to defend his kingdom and Castle Grayskull, the source of his powers, from the evil sorcerer Skeletor and his group.
Adam and Aaron Nee (Band of Robbers) will direct the film as scripted by Matt Holloway and Art Marcum (Men in Black: International).
Since the sudden announcement in August that The Matrix is indeed rebooting for the fourth movie with the return of screenwriter-director Lana Wachowski, it's been quiet on this part of the simulated universe - but it seems that the sequel to the sci-fi saga has found one of its leading stars. According to Variety, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II - perhaps best known for his role as Black Mante in the Aquaman film - has been cast in one of the main roles of the Matrix film and will join Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss in the film.
Abdul-Mateen's character has not yet been confirmed, but early rumors surrounding the movie suggest that he might be playing the young Morpheus - that's how flexible The Matrix 4 movie is. It is mentioned that he could also play someone closely related to Morpheus, such as a son or nephew. Whether this is indeed the case or not, we will have to wait to find out the official confirmation.
In addition to Aquaman, Abdul-Mateen was recently seen in Jordan Peele's us, starring Adelaide's father in the opening scenes of the film. He has also appeared in The Handmaid's Tale and Black Mirror series, and we will soon have the opportunity to watch him in the new HBO series Watchmen.
The original Matrix and its two sequels combined earned a total of $ 1.6 billion at the box office. Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss portrayed their characters in all three chapters of the Matrix series, each directed by Lana and Lilly Wachowski.
Lana Wachowski directs The Matrix 4 from a screenplay she co-wrote with Alexander Hemon and David Mitchell. The film is set in the roles of Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss. The Matrix 4 is reportedly set to begin production in 2020, with Lana Wachowski also co-producing with Grant Hill.
Matrix 4 has no release date yet.
We've watched a new horror movie based on Stephen King's and Joe Hill's book of the same name, In the Tall Grass. Read our review of the movie In the Tall Grass in the article.
After hearing the boy's cry for help, his brother and sister go to a vast field of tall grass in Kansas but soon discover that there may be no way out ... and that something evil is lurking in it
'In the Tall Grass' is a book by Stephen King and his son Joe Hill, first published in two parts, the first in June / July and the second in August 2012, marking their second collaboration, following a book from In 2009, Throttle.
This is the third Netflix adaptation (Gerald's Game, 1922) of Stephen King's book, which he co-wrote with his son, Joe Hill. And while I've already written about being a huge fan of King, I'm not really thrilled with the works that he wrote with his son Hill. Interestingly, Hill's books are great when working on them on their own. Given that the original material, In the Tall Grass is nothing special, it's hard then that this Netflix adaptation can do better.
In the Tall Grass actually looks pretty good, even though almost the entire movie takes place in tall green grass. A good, tense and creepy atmosphere was created, which, alongside the actors, was the best thing about the movie.
The cast is also very good, especially to highlight the most famous of them, Patrick Wilson (Conjuring), who has many times shown himself to be an excellent actor.
As I wrote above, the story is not good. The mystery was created at the very beginning, with this strange, mysterious and interesting thing, let's call it a maze of tall grass, but besides, almost everything is pretty bad. We have almost no explanation for the things that happen in the movie, and the craziness in the movie grows more and more. Plus, while the beginning is good, interesting, tense and creepy, with a few solid jump scare scenes, it takes us 40 minutes of live boredom and lots, lots of green grass. Towards the end again a little better, more interesting and tense, but with a bunch of things not explained again. It should also be added that the characters and the movie are mostly idiots.
The Netflix movie In the Tall Grass was certainly not helped by the frequent outbursts of the main characters' feelings, as well as the actually quite irritating music, which should have scared us. There are also some beings that I have nothing to say about because very little is generally known about them. We can assume what, or who they might be, but that is all, we have no real explanation.
In the Tall Grass was never intended to be a big blockbuster movie, unfortunately, it didn't offer much in the story, but for one to two views, in full dark and very loud, not even that bad. Mostly I like to look at all of King's adaptations, and what it was like, In the Tall Grass is a golden mean somewhere. It can be seen that King, as well as various studios, want to make the most of the popularity that King regained in Hollywood after the 2017 IT Chapter One movie, since we've had Gerald's Game, 1922, Pet Sematary, IT Chapter Two and now In the Tall Grass, and the Mr. Mercedes, NOS4A2 and Castle Rock (by clicking on the link you will go for a review, as you can see, we are really following all of King's adaptations). We are also getting Doctor Sleep, Salem's Lot, The Long Walk, From a Buick 8 and the mini-series The Stand. Other adaptations are also being talked about.
Ben Affleck ended his role as Batman, however, this did not stop certain DCEU fans from hoping to see the actor in a solo Batman movie one day. One dedicated fan took existing Batman footage and put it into a teaser trailer of what they might expect from an Affleck-run Batman movie. YouTuber Jon Arryn Garza uses footage that showcases a large amount of current DCEU villains, such as Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and Joker (Jared Leto) while having various encounters with the Knight of Darkness.
This fan video trailer also uses Two-Face (Aaron Eckhart) and Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy) from Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, before the fan's Batman: Arkham Asylum logo appears on the screen. Then, some type of post-credits scene shows us Liam Neeson's R'as Al Ghul for a second.
This video is very likely derived from cinematographer Robert Richardson's recent statements about the film, where he revealed that much of the film would take place inside the iconic DC Comics site, Arkham Asylum. Richardson was hired to work with Affleck on film, but they eventually parted ways with the project - he has since been replaced by Rogue One cinematographer and longtime Matt Reeves collaborator Craig Fraser.
Ben Affleck also confirmed in an interview that the film would definitely not lack an opponent, thus only further confirming the statement of cinematographer Richardson.
The Batman directed by Matt Reeves comes to theaters on June 25, 2021.
Check out the great fan teaser trailer for a solo Batman movie with Ben Affleck in the lead below, which we will hardly ever get a chance to see.
Battlestar Galactica fans will be familiar with this quote “All this has happened before and it will all happen again.” Well, it will all happen again. NBCUniversal announced today that it has hired Sam Esmail, the Golden Globe winner and Emmy-nominated creator of the Mr. Robot and Homecoming, to make the Battlestar Galactica reboot for the new Peacock streaming platform, which begins operations on April 2020. Esmail will be the executive producer of the series with Chad Hamilton, a member of his Esmail Corp. companies. NBCUniversal has not revealed any other details about this new series. The news comes on the anniversary of the release of the original Battlestar Galactica series.
The original Battlestar Galactica debuted in 1978, from creator Glen A. Larson. The series starred Lorne Greene, Richard Hatch, and Dirk Benedict and went one season before it was canceled. In the 1980s, fans managed to get the series updated for another 10 episodes of the 1980 Galactica series.
Battlestar Galactica was accompanied by the Twelve Colonies of Humanity and their protracted war against the robotic race known as the Cylons. When the Cylons ended the war with a secret attack that destroyed the colonial planets, the last remaining capital warship, Battlestar Galactica, was forced to lead what was left of humanity in the search for the lost Thirteenth Colony, Earth.
That short-lived series has been rebooted for new generations by Star Trek screenwriter Ronald D. Moore in 2003. Moore wrote and produced a two-part mini-series for SyFy. The mini-series served as a pilot that proved successful enough for SyFy to launch the series in 2004. That series has gone on for four seasons and is still one of the most successful SyFy original series in history. The stars of the series were Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, Katee Sackhoff, Jamie Bamber, James Callis, Tricia Helfer, and Grace Park. The series resulted in a one-season spin-off prequel series Caprica and a web series called Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome, which was later made into a TV movie.
There is no mention of how this upcoming reboot series will affect the Battlestar Galactica movie under development from director Francis Lawrence. In December 2018, the film hired a new screenwriter. There has been no new news since.
What do you think of the NBCUniversal reboot of Battlestar Galactica and another streaming platform?

It was almost confirmed after Sigourney Weaver mentioned that she would not be the only original cast member to return for this Ghostbusters sequel coming to us in 2020, but now Dan Aykroyd (Ray) and Ernie Hudson (Winston) have it and officially confirmed.
Aykroyd confirmed his involvement in the movie at the Joe Rogan Experience, while Hudson confirmed that he is currently making the movie in a personal message to the fan - in full uniform.
We can assume and hope that Bill Murray will also return as Peter Venkman, but this has not yet been officially confirmed. During his interview, Aykroyd mentioned that they were "hoping" that Murray would join them, and director Jason Reitman confirmed that the legendary actor had at least read the script.
Reitman is the son of the original Ghostbusters director John Reitman. Earlier this month, Reitman said he was making this movie for fans and to pay tribute to his father.

One of Marvel's most intriguing Phase 4 projects is Loki, a series created for the Disney + streaming platform starring Tom Hiddleston as the favorite Asgardian god of deception. At San Diego Comic-Con, the studio confirmed that the series would continue right after Loki's stealing Tesseract in Avengers: Endgame and follow the much-loved deity through time. Now, thanks to an interview with Hiddleston on MTV News, we know that the first season of this Loki series will consist of six episodes, each lasting exactly one hour.
Hiddleston casually mentioned the number of episodes while talking about the opportunity he got to play that character, which first debuted in 2011, and Hiddleston though he ended up playing that character in Thor: The Dark World, and now he's got an opportunity for another “six hours.” The actor also mentioned that there will be humor throughout the series - which is not so strange when you have Rick & Morty screenwriter Michael Waldron directing the series - and that Loki begins the story in the vicious state of mind he was in Avengers of the movie by Joss Whedon before he was introduced to a completely new evolution.
"It was the most interesting part of the process," Hiddleston says, essentially taking the character he went through in one development over nearly a decade and re-developing it from scratch. That challenge involves some "terrible opponents."
"I feel like I know him, I've been playing him for the last 10 years and it's crazy for me. By the time the series comes out, I will be 40 years old. When I was selected, I was 29, which is a big part of my life ... but the point is, there is a feeling like 'I know this character now, I feel the viewers know him too.' Acting him and playing him truthfully, but presenting him new challenges that then have to change it in different ways is the most exciting aspect of it. You have his specific powers, his intelligence, his betrayal, his mischief, his magic, and then seeing him come across as envious opponents he has never seen and knows. "
Check out the full interview below. The part about Loki starts around 1:26 pm and also contains a very interesting anecdote about Josh Brolin apologizing for killing Loki.
