Yahoo! has recently started to advertise on radio stations in order to point out to people that there is an alternative to Google on the Internet. Radio ads are virtually comparable between the capabilities of Google and Yahoo !. One of them points out that their search engine provides express relevant suggestions as soon as you start writing in it.
Some of the ads, in the end, point out the slogan: "You can not find it on your Google page" and end up with the preeminent "Yahoo!" shout.
Raj Gossain, vice president of the marketing department of the company, said radio ads have been broadcast on radio stations in California for weeks. He has not highlighted which markets are covered by these radio ads and how much the company has actually allocated from its budget but noted that advertisements from this campaign can also be found online. He himself admitted that this is a difficult attempt to increase the Yahoo! market! because it's really hard to change people's acquired habits.
Even if advertising on radio stations on such a browser seems a bit unusual (at least for me personally) this unusual move on Yahoo! is undoubtedly thought out by many heads in the company's marketing department and certainly, a potential return value for all that spending budget has been found. I suppose this attempt is part of Yahoo's recently adopted strategy! which as its main objectives includes strengthening the position of the world market, and to "steal" a part of the Google market, which will manage to increase its profits significantly.
Are such brave actions on Yahoo! are just an attempt to extract a higher share price and sell more expensive to Microsoft * or the company really has a vision, it remains to be seen ... in any case, we will follow the steps of Yahoo! with great care.
* For the uninitiated: Microsoft on February 1 made an offer to buy the company for a price of $ 44.6 billion in cash and shares.
