The competition for the video game of the year in 2018 is more serious than ever before, with names such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Marvel's Spider-Man, but the name of the winner is still one title that has been for years among the favorites of gamers around the world.
"God of War" took the most prestigious video game award of the year in the Game Awards for a ceremony held last night.
"You, fans all over the world have the same big dreams as us, and it's a great feeling that allowed us to enter the studio and do something like 'God of War'," Shannon Stadstyle, executive producer of the game, said received the award on behalf of Sony Santa Monica Studios.
Although the main topic of the talk in the gaming industry this year was "Fortnite" and "Red Dead Redemption", however, "God of War" was accepted as the best game by critics even though there is not such a great toy base as the two previously mentioned games.
"God of War" won the Best Direction and Best Action / Adventure awards, while "Red Dead Redemption" won the Best Narrative / Story Awards and Best Music.
