Microsoft is preparing to release a new version of the Surface Laptop 3, a 15-inch version.
The Surface generation will get refreshments. As WinFuture reveals, the computer will be 15-inches with the same 3: 2 aspect ratio and AMD processor.
Microsoft is currently offering two versions of the Surface Book 2, 13.5 and 15 inches. The Surface Laptop 3 should compete with the 15-inch Surface Book 2.
While it has been speculated that the new model will be officially unveiled at the New York Motor Show next month, it is unlikely to happen. Surface Laptop 3 will be introduced on a later occasion.
In New York, Microsoft will unveil a new one, the new Surface Pro 7 with Qualcomm processor.
Intel introduced a new processor for the Xeon Platinum 9200 server. It is a true beast that comes with 56 physical and 112 virtual cores. The company announces that this processor is intended for users with the need for the highest performance. The new processors are part of Intel's second-generation scalable processors.
The CPU is of course intended for servers and data centers. This is the first processor with Cascade Lake architecture. Besides the number of cores, the new processor comes with Optane support, support for faster DRAM, new configurations and better specialization for different processors from the series. In addition to these processors, hardware support has been made to reduce the dangers of Specter and Meltdown. With this even though Intel did not change the micro-architecture compared to the previous generation, however, with greater security and better focus on implementation, Intel offers better processors in this series, says AnandTech.
Xeon 9200 comes with 1 MB L2 cache per core; maximum 38.5 MB L3 cache memory; support for DDR4-2933 with support up to 1 TB; Optane provides a speed of 45 TB per core. Additionally, the CPU has a power of 400 W. Some rumors say that processors could be on sale by Computex. The Xeon 9200 series has several processors:
