Dark Mode can be an extremely useful option for working in the late hours. There is nothing wrong with the standard white displays, but more and more applications also allow dark displays for their applications, ie displaying a dark white text surface. Such Dark Mode is designed less to burden the eyes at night. Dark Mode is part of Windows 10. Until the October update, the dark mode was limited to Settings and several other applications, but now, the support is considerably expanded and extends through many more applications, including Windows Explorer itself.
To activate it, open Settings by pressing the combination of the Windows and me buttons, clicking Personalization, and then Colors. Choose your default app mode, select Dark.
As we mentioned, it does not work anywhere, but the number of supported applications is constantly growing. In such a thing, you'll see if you try to include News, Calendar, Mail, Store, Weather, or People.
Note that if you make such changes, the dark mode will be active regardless of whether it's a day or night. In case you want to automatically turn on Dark Mode only in the night, you can install the Windows Auto-Night Mode application, available on GitHub. With this tool, you can set, for example, the standard, bright mode from 07:00 to 18:00, and Dark Mode to be activated in hours away from them.
