The Valley of Death is known as the lowest, driest and warmest location in North America, nestled in the Mohave Desert. There are no water spaces in it, so when suddenly a huge lake appeared suddenly last week, it was a cause of great excitement and mystery.
In the national park Valley of Death after heavy rainfall near the popular Salt Creek area, a huge mysterious lake appeared 16 km long. This marvel of nature was shot by photographer Elliot McGuchen who accidentally found himself there and remained speechless before the sight that appeared before his eyes when he crossed the road to Badwater Basin.
"The feeling is surreal when you see so much water in the driest place on the continent. Although I did not manage to get to the place where I was referred, I saw the most impressive thing in the world and made the most unique photographs of all time, "McGuen told SFGate.
When he first saw the lake, strong winds hit the surface of the water. Suddenly the wind ceased and the lake calmed down. The head of the education and interpretation department at the Valley of Death National Park, Patrick Taylor, told McGuen that this is the largest lake ever created there.
Taylor adds that after heavy rainfall, smaller fish farms have been formed. Although the Valley of Death is the warmest place in the United States, this place is not constantly hot and dry. Namely, precisely this area experiences low temperatures, storms, and monsoons.
Since the desert soil is dry and compact, water cannot be kept on it for a long time. Therefore, experts believe that the lake will not survive, given that it diminishes day by day.
