Nintendo has discovered a bunch of Pokemon novelties, including a sleeping game and a new sequel to the Detective Pikachu series. Pokemon Sleep should make what Pokemon Go made for walking in 2016 for a dream.
The latest Nintendo Direct went under Pokemon, and the Japanese announced four new video games about popular pocket monsters last night.
Probably the boldest of them is Pokemon Sleep, a game Nintendo describes as the evolution of the Pokemon Go phenomenon that in 2016 infected the entire world. This is another title of the American study of Niantic Labs, but instead of asking you to move, it will reward a healthy dream. What exactly does it mean is still unclear, but Nintendo has confirmed that it will also sell the smart bracelet Pokemon GO Plus + along with the game for Android and iOS mobile phones and tablets. It will offer all the functionality of the original Pokemon GO Plus device and also support Pokemon Sleep, i.e. Follow your dream and based on its gameplay. You can also play Pokemon Sleep without this add-on, and the game comes to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store next year.
Nintendo announced Pokemon HOME last night, another mobile application that will allow serial fans to manage their pocket monster collections across the entire modern franchise. This gaming service also comes to Android and iOS devices in 2020 and will support all Pokemon games for 3DS and Switch consoles as well as mobile phones.
Encouraged by the planetary success of the cinema hunt Pokemon Detective Pikachu, the Japanese company also promised the continuation of the original Detective Pikachu 3DS game from 2016. The only thing that was revealed about the upcoming title is to conclude a story from the previous adventure and debut as exclusive for Switch. Foreign media has already speculated that Nintendo could engage Ryan Reynolds and ask him to reprise his role as Pikachu from the spring blockbuster that surpassed all expectations of criticism, and finishing last weekend earned $ 350 million on cinema box offices around the world, according to estimates of several services.
Regarding this year's plans for the Pokemon series, the Japanese giant DeNA has been publishing Pokemon Masters for several months, a mobile game focused on the battles between the trainers. From the Far East, there is a promise that more information about this free title will arrive already in June.
